The Lapis Hotel

Good location. Nice restaurants nearby. Hotel staff are very kind and helpful.

Did not choose to eat the breakfast as they were charging $US17, which seemed very expensive for Vietnam.

Nice, clean room. The pool, spa, and gym areas are fantastic.

very comfy room, the bed was a dream, i slept well here. the spa wasnt great but free and the hotel pool had a great view of the neighbourhood. lots of places to eat nearby and the hotel restaurant food was pretty good too.

the spa wasnt amazing, the sauna didnt work and the hot tub was tepid. the pool was unheated and cold in dec.

The room was great, the staff was friendly and helpful. The infinity pool, sauna, and exercise facility were great bonuses.

The only thing I didn't like about this stay was that our room had no window view. The window led into a window well that extended up Manu stories, which seemed like a safety hazard.

This is either my forth or fifth stay at the Lapis - which says a lot.. Friendly, small boutique hotel located far enough from Old Quarter to be quiet but close enough for an easy walk. Nice breakfast. Friendly staff.

Frankly, not much can be improved. They would have to start demolishing neighboring buildings to implement any improvements.

Amazing hotel in Hanoi. Just outside the main Old Quarter district which is perfect. Staff super friendly and helpful. Rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. Rooftop pool is a bonus when you need to cool down in the Hanoi heat!

Breakfast was good. I loved the smoked bassa filletsGood that you could also ask for a double expresso as the coffee wasn’t good.

We checked in with a standard room, that had no light coming in the window as you looked out to a concrete wall. It was an awful room very depressing. The bathroom wasn’t safe to get in over the bath to the shower.I paid for an upgrade.Which made our stay.

It has a lovely reception area. However, rooms are very dark as there are no windows agsin very claustrophobic. The bathroom is very small, with just a bath with a shower, and it was difficult to get in and out. Lovely location, though. We only stayed 3 nights and couldn't have stayed longer.

Staff were very pleasant and efficient. Room was a good size and cleaned to a high standard. Breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice.

The swimming pool is beautiful but isn't warm. It would be nice if they heated it during the cold season. Room has a window, but doesn't have any light coming inside because there's a wall in front.

Clean room. Comfortable and spacious enough. The staff are accomodating and friendly. Location is a walking distance from the Opera House where all the tourists will be pick up by buses. Great location.

It is a dead place. No entertainment especially during New Year's Eve. Restaurant was closed. Needs improvement in business ideas.

The rooftop pool is beautiful and gets the sun in the morning. The bathroom in our hotel room was clean and well decorated. The beds were comfortable. The staff were helpful and kind. The cleaners were thorough and even replaced the mini waters and toiletries.

When we entered our room it smelt strongly of bad odour. Like stale air and onions and garlic. The carpets in the hotel rooms need ripping out and replacing with laminate or wood floors.

Very comfortable and stylish hotel. It has got everything you need for a holiday. We loved the spa. Friendly staff and convenient location, 15 minutes walk to the old quarter. We stayed there twice. The first 3 nights and then another 2 nights. The first night was not as good as we expected but the manager took action to rectify the issue and reassured that they would make improvements to insure guests expectations were met.

Some wall paper is peeling, need some fix.
